Composite Pallet Materials
Grip Tech offers a choice of two state-of-the-art pallet materials specifically developed for the electronics assembly industry: CDM and ESD5000. Both CDM and ESD5000 are non-laminate fiber glass composite materials.
CDM and ESD5000 offer these advantages:
- Strength and durability to assure long pallet life.
- Light weight, easy to handle; reduces wear on fast moving machinery.
- Low thermal conductivity; much better than metal fixtures.
- Maintains shape and flatness at high temperature ... same linear expansion characteristics as PCB.
- Near zero solder pick-up; no special treatments required.
- Resistance to chemical cleaning agents.
- Can be used throughout the production process on all PCB assembly equipment.
PLUS ...
ESD5000 also provides ESD protection! Thanks to its advanced chemical technology, ESD5000 is designed to allow continuous electron drainage, thereby preventing the buildup of dangerous electrical charges.
